What is LITweetUp anyway?
LITweetUp is an anti-networking group started almost 3 years ago.
Originally it was a bunch of us (thanks @dani3boyz and @emoltzen) who met thru social media channels, mostly twitter, who then met in real life for drinks and food. Turns out we all really liked each other and we then did some fun stuff together to help the community (like LITweetUp Helps for the last 2 years)
Today, we meetup frequently (every other month or so currenly) and we talk and eat and drink (alcohol optional). You will meet and get to know brilliant, fascinating, insightful, innovative people working on / starting / thinking about amazing projects that will change our corner of the world and beyond. The atmosphere is casual and conversational and no one will intorduce themselves to you by sticking their business card in your face and giving you an elevator pitch before you even know their name.
LITweetUp is about depth, not breadth. If your entire night is spent speaking with one person who is fascinating to you, you've had a successful night at LITweetUp. At my last count, 5 businesses have been launched by LITweetUp-ers, and tons of business connections have been made, all without the artificial, forced environment of traditional, "how many cards did you get tonite" networking.
Be human, be real, have fun. See you at the next meetup.
