We are at a time like no other in history.

If you take a minute you can certainly think of a co-worker, church member, neighbor, friend or family member who's been negatively impacted by the economy today.  Thanks to organizations like Island Harvest, we can help those people with only a little effort.

On the weekend of November 13th LITweetup and Panera Bread (Doherty Enterprises) will be hosting food drives in Nassau County and Eastern and Western Suffolk County to collect donations for Island Harvest. Please take time to come out and help feed our neighbors.

There will be a more detailed follow-up post this weekend explaining how you can help the cause even if you can't make it that day or if you're now out of state (like our friend @Ray who's pledged his support). I'll explain the details of the Panera Bread Reward coupon for everyone who donates in person and online, and we'll talk about the Long Island Twitter All-Stars you'll get to meet at these events.
